MY STORY

Geo the Anxiety Horse

Once upon a time, in the enchanting realm of Limited-Edition Land, there lived a horse named Geo. Geo was a magnificent horse with a shimmering white coat and a gentle heart, but he had a special challenge—he often felt anxious.

Anxiety is like having a worried feeling in your tummy that just won’t go away. For Geo, it meant feeling nervous about things that other horses didn’t seem to worry about. Sometimes, even simple things like meeting new friends or going on an adventure would make his heart race and his hooves tremble.

One day, Geo’s friend, Wise Owl, noticed that Geo seemed very tense and jittery. Wise Owl, who was known for her wisdom, gently asked Geo how he was feeling. Geo explained that he often felt scared or worried for no reason at all. Wise Owl nodded knowingly and explained that Geo might have something called an anxiety disorder.

Anxiety disorders are not something you can see like a scratch or a bump. They are a type of mental health condition that can make you feel afraid, nervous, or uneasy, even when there’s nothing to be afraid of. Wise Owl reassured Geo that he wasn’t alone and that there were ways to help him feel better.

To find out more, Geo visited a kind therapist who specialized in helping animals with their feelings. The therapist asked Geo some questions and listened carefully to his worries. After a few visits, the therapist told Geo that he had an anxiety disorder and that it was okay to feel that way sometimes.

The therapist explained that anxiety disorders can happen to anyone, and they can be caused by a combination of things like genetics, brain chemistry, and life experiences. She also told Geo that there were different ways to treat anxiety. Some horses find relief by talking to a therapist, while others benefit from relaxation techniques like deep breathing or mindfulness.

With the support of his friends and the guidance of his therapist, Geo learned to manage his anxiety. He discovered that by taking deep breaths and focusing on the present moment, he could calm his worried mind. Geo also found comfort in knowing that his anxiety didn’t define him—it was just a small part of who he was.

And so, Geo continued to gallop through the meadows of Limited-Edition Land, embracing each day with newfound courage and resilience. He knew that even on the most anxious days, he was surrounded by friends who loved him just the way he was.
